Jason Cerro, LPCJason T. Cerro owns a private practice counseling business located at 3175 Gold Star Highway in Mystic, CT. Jason has practiced as a Family Therapist for the past 4 years. His clients consist of children ages 3 and up, teens, individual adults, families, and couples. He helps clients create a unique treatment plan that fits their lifestyle and includes goals to be achieved. He works closely with Pediatricians, Therapists, and School Mental Health Workers to create the best coordinated care for his clients.

His clinical work began at United Community and Family Services (UCFS) in Norwich, CT with the treatment of individuals struggling with addiction. Concurrently, his experiences included treating children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD) or Autism. He also treated adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

Following UCFS, Jason began providing services for Wheeler Clinic in New Britain, CT. He co-facilitated programs that included Parenting Education, Family Violence, and Domestic Violence. Parenting Education highlighted the developmental difficulties children experience through the stressors of separation and divorce. The Family and Domestic Violence program followed a psycho-education module that emphasized the impact and destructive nature of power and control in the cycle of abuse. He also provides clinical group counseling at SCADD, a drug detox facility located in New London, CT. He helps clients who want to live drug free transition to inpatient or outpatient treatment.

For 8 years, Mr. Cerro worked as a Health Education Teacher at Baldwin Middle School, located in Canterbury, CT. During that time, he enjoyed helping students achieve greater psychological and emotional integrity. He has extensive practice with helping families connect while creating memorable experiences.

While Jason T. Cerro is credentialed to work clinically with children, teens, adults, and the elderly, his specialty lies in helping families shift from arguing and fighting to communicating and getting along.
