How do I know if I or someone in my family needs counseling?
If the problem(s) in your life are interfering with daily life it may be time to get an objective viewpoint from a professional who can provide guidance in helping you solve your issues.

How long will I need to be in counseling?
Depending on the severity of your problems, weekly sessions are typical when starting therapy. I will provide you with treatment recommendations that best fit your needs. Some issues can be addressed once a week for a limited time and more severe issues usually include therapy multiple times per week. Family counseling can also be part of the treatment plan.

What should I expect at the first session of counseling?
The first session is an overview of the problems that you're dealing with to determine treatment goals. Goals include: How often you will come for counseling, what you would like to achieve, and creating some solutions to your problems.

What do I need to bring to the first session?
Your insurance card, co-pay fee, an open mind, and your glasses to fill out some standard paperwork.
